1993 Subaru Impreza AWD 2.2L 5MT
I recently swapped in an ej22e into my ej18 impreza and with that I replaced the clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, pilot bearing, and throwout bearing. Initially with the car on I could not get it into gear but I could with the car off. I ended up starting the car with the clutch pedal depressed and after that I was able to get into gear but there was a grinding noise when disengaging the clutch (Video). Now today I drove the car up and down my driveway and could hear the grinding getting louder as I released the clutch pedal and revved up the car to get it moving. After this, I started the car once again and now as I push in the clutch pedal, there is no grinding noise anymore but with the clutch engaged (pedal released or pushed up until the clutch engages) there is a faint rubbing noise that goes away when the clutch pedal is pushed in all the way (clutch disengaged),
I posted this on reddit as well so if you want some more information its here.
I do not want to pull the transmission until I have tried everything first so if you have any advise please let me know.
