so i just put together a motor from one i got from a friend and one my old motor that spun a bearing... i used the flywheel and pressure plate from one car, and the clutch disk itself from the other car... neither clutch was slipping when they were removed... i took the car for its maiden voyage, and the clutch was slipping if i got on it... i was reading something about wear patterns or something... could that be the cause? anyone have any other ideas here, could the disk re-wear together?

A bad rear main... Could be causing oil to be spewed all over the clutch and pressure plate.

yeah but i think i would see oil dripping from the trans. plus the motor never had a rear main problem and i never removed the flywheel from the motor that actually went into the car.

Why did you mix clutch parts if neither were slipping before?
