one of my RV shops told me about this trick
it worked, still took me 3 hours

that top image is after the steam(ings)
steam breaks the 3M plastic AND the glue down pretty well
but
took me a while b4 i found out that, once i got a section clean
i would steam another section and the clean section was now covered in glue again
so
i steamed small sections next few times(used painters tape as not to spread the glue)
work proceeded much faster

that is one of those 'white majic erasers'.......worked well
i had a nylon wedge too, but the eraser and your hand worked the best to rub out the glue

3 times with cut pad
3 times with polish pad
(i just had Mothers Carnauba paste wax....with i had compound wax(lil gritty) but that 3M adhesive remover was freakin $40

now for the other side!
hopefully will take less time bc i started to steam/remove glue small section at a time

Never had to do that myself but I can appreciate the amount of effort you're putting in. Have you tried one of the decal erasers that attaches to a drill? Think autozone has them. Also curious if you tried windex/ammonia, not sure if it would work but heat and ammonia are used to remove window tint

man that bra was put on like more than 10yrs ago
was hard as a rock
thankfully a garage shelf fell on car and had hood/fender were repaired and painted
shop took off that crap but i never got around to mirrors.....till recently

i was really afraid of that eraser taking off clr coat or paint bc that plastic so baked on
made sense bc steam heat is wet and that eraser creates much more dry friction heat
this^^^ or my drill would burn up!

i will tell you this I WILL NEVER put that crap on any other car i ever own

You need to replace pretty much any clear-bra products around the 5 year mark, or you're going to have a bad time.
