She’s road worthy. Gotta make it to the DMV and get her legal. Waiting on a few bulbs and could use some floor mats. Otherwise she should be ready!

Well, I knew I was fighting a vacuum leak. I had suspected the turbo inlet as it slightly folded when I reinstalled the manifold. Leak got a little worse this weak and so the manifold came back off to swap out inlets.

Probably not the last time I’ll have the manifold off. I had hoped to paint the it but I’m needing this to get to work tomorrow. :/ Timing components also came in, need an STi water pump and I should be good to go on engine service.

Manifold went back on fairly well. Had a hose or two break. Currently working on replacements. If I can get the hoses I’m just going to replace everything that feeds off the inlet.

In the meantime, timing and water pump are done!

I’m also debating on the Samco inlet if this one gives me any more grief.

Slapped a cheap double din in today. I’m always amazed at the sound difference vs the OE deck. Deciding whether or not I want to run components up front. Bought some 6.5’s for the rear deck.

Depends on what I’m looking for. I have a friend locally that does the occasional part out but this engine came from an importer out of Texas. The engine for my other car will likely come from a dude in Chicago that imports newer engines.

Did a thing today...

Little bit a primer...

And three cans of gold...

Not sure what I’m doing for tires yet but these came out nice for the time invested.

What are the new wheel specs? I keep debating wheels, for my RS.

For mine, I went with 6.5's in the doors and mounted 6x9's on the rear deck. First time I turned music on, in this little cab, I had to debate if I even wanted a sub or not. Really woke the car's music up.
I did go with a little sub, behind the driver seat. Pre boxed 10" pioneer..

Pretty straight forward. I believe they’re 16x7.5 et 45.

I went a little bit cheaper on the speakers but had to make some baffles for the front doors anyways. 6.5’s all around. I’ll spend more next time. This one is already for sale.

Sold the coupe last night! I believe the new owner will carry the torch well! Hopefully he’ll chime in here and claim her.

Still got the wagon going in full swing.
