I never thought I would need one but since I got my Subaru I have been more than a little heavy on the gas and now I am in the market for a radar detector. I would love to have a V1 but its a little steep IMHO and I would have to save up for it but since I am the impatient type I want something run out a buy tomorrow. Escort 8500 is at the top of my list any other suggestions for >275? And while where at it where do you have yours?

I don’t think that a radar detector will allow me a false sense of security but another tool to help sniff them out wouldn’t hurt either. I have state farm insurance I will check it out about the policy. Do you mean if you have a wreck and found to have a radar detector they won’t cover it? What if speeding wasn’t a factor?
