I own a 97 2.2L, not an RS, but still a GC8 so I assume I am in, but I want to make sure. Is my 2.2L Worthy?

NO! GET LOST!

Just kidding. :) Anybody is welcome here. WRX drivers have to check their egos at the door though. There's plenty of info that is completely relevant to your car here. Have fun
:checkit:
Horatio - the official welcome wagon....

Yeah, anyone with an "old" Subaru is what this club is tailored towards, so all are welcome. :D
Mine IS almost actually old, without thequotations.1997 with 71,000 miles.....*sigh* Soon it will be time for an engine rebuild...hmmm..that could be good.

Yeah, but just wait until the drugs wear off...

Seriously, welcome aboard. And remember, women and children to the lifeboats first in case of an emergency! :D
I don't see a problem at all. Welcome aboard and enjoy!
Well I don't own a Subaru at all, and I joined! :D

OK, I did own an RS for 3 years, and bought one of the first ones in Ohio. So I guess I have some reason to be here.

And Subaru people are cooler anyways. Better than the "honda-boyz" that I might get lumped in with otherwise.
Howdy hi Andy :D

and you loved your RS so much you sold it to your dad so you can still drive it ;)
bienvenido:)
welcome fellow subie fan
Hey, I don't even have a Subaru and nobody seems to mind. :)

One of the biggest Subaru nuts I know doesn't have one and in fact never has! (Porter) It is really more about attitude and enthusiasm than anything. Having a GC8 (or older) Subaru is just all the better. :)
I know a "scoobie specialist" on the other board and he doesn't own a subaru either. funny thing is that I'm still a "scoobie newbie" over there and I've been on the board for a long time(I'm not bragging i promise) :biggest:
Yep. I really think it's more about the community than what car it is. The car similarities just happen to be a good coincidence... :)

maybe I'll buy it back for my daily driver when my dad decides to get that WRX wagon. :biggest:
Dr Biggly-
I agree. The entire point of having a club is to have fun with others that share a common interest. Not to prove who has the fastest most special car out there. You dont really have to own a subaru to appreciate or enjoy it. Just watching rally videos is almost enough for me!!

I have the fastest and most special car out there.

period.
