I am unemp. at the moment. Yesterday, I got a call from a headhunter. He said that he has a client that is looking for somebody with call center experience. is that similar to help desk?
What duties would a help desk person or call center person perform?
I work at a helpdesk that is more like a call center because we really dont help people but I think that this is the difference:
Helpdesk- a place you call and they can fix the problem over the phone, they have resources to get first level resolution.
Call Center- You take calls for people and send the issues to someone else. You don't help the people over the phone, you take all the info down when a person calls in and then send the info off to another person to actually resolve the issue.
