hey-

we have been pondering.

94 jdm wrx swapped car, 4.11 wrx normal gearbox.
ej20g, td05-16g

how to make break 11's with only spending 1K on it? car just needs a downpipe, has everything else in place already. will need some injectors

is it possible?

forged pistons are not an option. we're looking at taking a bone stock motor and just making it go 11's.

i'll spray if i have to. haha
Meth is too expensive, unless DIY meth

swapstar is good at swapping, but not expert in making powAr or going fast in straight line. brydon good at making boost

i dont think it will break 12's. the cars with the RA boxes will break 12's with full TBE, i want to break 11's with full glass and interior. no AC but heater.

the car is pretty strong- was thinking of going UK superchips to 1.5bar on stoc ecu

also was pondering changing to ej20k intake manifold to run ej20k big intercooler. car is ~ 2550 lbs and should run a 13.3-5 right now

A td06 20g might get you there on a ej20. I'm not sure what injectors those motors use but from a little experience you seem to be able to put USDM WRX or STI injectors into just about every Subaru. As a guess:

Used td06 20g: $300 (Look for them off of Syclone/Typhoon)
Ebay FMIC: $250-300
WRX or STI Injectors: $100 Modded for free 800cc
Flanges: $20
EM: Not Sure what's good but I'm sure you can find a used Power FC in your business.

Should be abour $1000 and should run 11s but that would be up to you. Practice Practice Practice.

It is funny how much money people spend on getting into the 11s but it is not that hard. I know I did a stock 05 STI with gt35r/FMIC/Modded injectors and Exhaust. Ran a 11.5 on stock suspension and clutch. But it seems like all these people with built motors and big turbos are still running 12s. Go figure.

haha.

YAY brydon advice. so td06 20g? how fast do you think a stocker td05 could push a 2400 lb impreza if we can get it donw to there?

depends on the center section there is about a million different td05s including a 20g td05. I would say mid to low 12s for most of them. But that is with a perfect run and the turbo maxed out. a 20g td05 might get you really close if not into the 11s, assuming you are not looking for a 11.5. The great thing about the ej20 is that it requires alot less fuel to make the power so fueling is never an issue.

I would love to see a 11s run on $1000. That would show how easy it really is.

Anything is possible. Or look for mitsu turbos. They are much cheaper then Subaru anything.

Also you can always run c16 and nitrous. Should add a little something something.

You should be able to do it with that td06 20g. I trapped a 108 with a tdo5 20g at 6000ft with a stock 22t bottom end and stock rs head using a piggy back. And your car is lighter :)

I wonder if it's possible to trade compressor wheels with an evo "big" 16g? have a friend that swapped his little gt25? for a evo td05h. wants to get rid of the gst to get a subaru.
