Im in interested in joining the whole subaru world. I am looking at getting either an 02 wrx or an 04 wrx. Does anyone know what they run stock boost wise?? I heard the 04 was a better year to buy. Is this true?

around 12 to 16 i believe. Can't really say which year is better, it's up to
you and what look you think is best. They are all very similar from decade
to decade with minor changes in body

Ok thanks. I was guessing around 12 13. My brothers VW runs 10 but spikes at 12.

i have an 00rs with 05 wrx swap and im running 16psi efficiently.

Remember that the psi of boost doesnt give and x amount of power. What is important is the amount of CFM of air going thru and engine. A car running 400cfm at 10 pounds boost will be significantly more powerful than a car running 200 cfm at 18 pounds boost.

i just finished the swap in my ' 01 L, ej257 td04 and im loving the 14psi of boost ..... not sure about which year is better in your case ... but the boost is 13.5psi (like everyone else is saying)
