I own a 2005 Impreza 2.5 RS. i have recently noticed that there is a crack in my exhaust and is quickly getting worse. So i want to buy a stainless steel catback exhaust for it although im not sure which will be the best for it. Most exhausts i have looked for are specifically for the WRX or STI im not sure if there is a difference? can i just put a WRX exhaust on my RS? any input would be much appreciated.

If you're looking for something loud and rumbly, pick up a set of UEL Headers(Borla reps are generally what people get), and the Tsudo N1 catback is pretty popular (it's what I'm running right now and I love it.) There is also the Stromung catback, it's a little on the pricey side, but you get a nice loud rumble, without the fart cannon.

Side note: If you're really looking for "performance", stick with EL headers, you'll get a little more power out of them, but you'll sound a little bit like a Honda....

yeah i've been looking at the Tsudo N1 and im almost sold. everyone seems to love it. and i guess i could say that im not looking for a "performance boost" i would just like a nicer sound to it. Thanks for the links, big help

Anytime man! Glad to be of assistance haha. I've got a couple videos of my exhaust (Borla UEL Reps and Tsudo N1) in action as well. Gives you an idea. It definitely sounds A LOT better in person though.

i did end up going with that Tsudo N1 Catback. put it on a few days ago and i LOVE it. such a rich deep sound and fairly easy to install. i would definitely buy it again.

i did end up going with that Tsudo N1 Catback. put it on a few days ago and i LOVE it. such a rich deep sound and fairly easy to install. i would definitely buy it again.

I am wondering was it a direct install? Or did u have to fabricate anything?

02-05 non turbos would share the same headers. It's 06+ where things changed.
