I think I share many opinions here with that statement... I am physically unable to read the general forum on the i-club...

As a resource, great, to sell and buy, fine, but as a board to read, forget it..

Anyways, just thought I'd say hey, and let everyone know that Rev-Lab will continue to support the GC8 platform, since we both drive them!

It's not that I'm sick of it as a Vendor per-se.. I'm and enthusiast first, vendor second..

I'll still try to sell on there, but in terms of a place to discuss with other _enthusiasts_ I probably won't

This club reminds me a lot of what I-Club was like 2 years ago, so I'll take most of my "personal" business here..

Definetly don't like the direction it is going.

One of my biggest gripes is the little RS icons. I suggested them a while back and some people made some and they got implemented. I originally wanted them for the classifieds specifically becasue I hate searching through the classifieds and finding something good only to find out it is for a WRX or something. I emailed them about it and never got a response but it would still be nice. :)

Anyway, Glad to see a new board!

Eric

Well, in all fairness it's not really the admin's fault..

Nick Cat works damn hard to make that board work, and he gets no credit.. everyone seems to think Alex is the end all and be all over there.. I sympathize with him.. part of something too big to take down, but so big it takes a lot of effort to keep going.

But I guess it's just the attitude of the new buyers... I mean, for chrissakes, there is an APC WRX demo car.. if that doesn't sorta describe the "scene" for new scooby owners, I don't know what does.

I'll be content, like many people over here, to just take our place with other unsung niche cars, like the 240sx.. which in spirit is quite similiar to the RS, right body, awesome RWD handling, just the "wrong" motor.

Besides, I still think the WRX looks goofy :happynow:

i give nick total credit for keeping it going as long as he has but in the rant thread i pointed out is that subaru wants to sell 15k of these cars a year that's more then all the RS' produced in 4 model years and i totally agree with the 240sx comment. the car is GREAT...just not powered appropriately like our cars.

I haven't totally given up on I-Club yet, but it's not the first Subaru site I visit any more. I like the local chapters there, and there is some good info in the NA forum, but the General forum is just getting stupid. And the Old School sub-forum is practically empty, not much new stuff there. I really like that when I got my car, and people asked what it was, they didn't know what it was. Now, everyone knows what the WRX is, and it doesn't quite have the "special" feeling the RS did. It's too bad, really, since it is a great car, but the people buying tham just kind of annoy me.

i-club is ok for somethings, but since the WRX is out now, everything is slowly migrating to that platform... I think I'll be visiting here first before the i-club.
