Any helpful tips to get cam bolts out of a 204

Hi guru's and wisdom havers im having a hell of a time getting the cam gear bolts out on EJ 204, it seems as though they are massively overtorqued. I got one out and they arent loctited, so I dont really know why they are fighting me so much. Any tips or ideas for getting them out? Preferebly non destructive to the gears or bolts, as any new/replacement parts are horrifically expensive here in Iceland

They may seem overtorqued but even from the factory they are a pain to get out, thats a DOHC motor so assuming they're the 10mm hex bolts? we didn't get 204's stateside. After destroying several with my bluepoint socket, which had a chamfer, I sprung for the snap on version with no chamfer and haven't destroyed one since. That plus the proper cam holder tool, which you can acquire from company23, should make it 'easy'.

hey thanks for the info, I ended up just drilling into the bolts till the heads of the bolts came off, ordered new ones from abroad, shame seeing as all I needed to do was replace the headgaskets and replace the timing belt and its pulleys
