I have a 2000 RS and was told by the dealership's parts dept. that my car has an air filter for the cabin. Well, I thought I knew what I was doing... I knew where the filter would go to, only if I could get the filter cover out. Well, directions says there should be 2 screws a stubbed #2 Phillips screw driver can get to. One problem... no screws. It took me a whole 2 weeks to realize that there's no other screws under there (right under the glove compartment - next to AC unit). I ended up prying out the cover and cracking it
Messed up, I was! I looked in with a small flashlight and there was no filter in the first place! What a load of :stinky: !!! Took it back and got my refund. Oh well, I could have gotten it installed for about $80 labor + $35 filter, but I guess I didn't need to since my car didn't have a filter already. Nice to know...
