here's our aggressive wheel thread. Mostly making it because I want some help figuring out how to get past a 17x8 wheel.

Basically if you've fit 235 tires on your GC or bigger post up pics i wanna see what everyone has done. I know most you guys run some kinda OEM substitute from another car (hehehe) but lets see some aggressive shit!

I'll post up my 17x8 235s in a bit. But i'd like to see bigger.


POST UP EVERY SPEC YOU CAN THINK OF THAT COULD EFFECT THE FITMENT
Camber
Suspension
Alignment
Spacers
Offsets
Width of wheels
tire sizes

GC's only (except for me, I can post my orange evo that I will get sometime in the future)

I'm getting 255's if they'll fit on my 8.5's. I need to fill out that widebody somehow. I'll take pics and shoot them your way when I get them.

They would be going on 17x 8.5 CE28 wheels.

come on u know that widebody is asking for some 275 or 295s.

heres mine:
sizing: 17x9 +45 Front(with WRX control arms)/+45(but with 8mm spacer, so +38) Rear with 255/40/17 Neovas
camber settings: -3.0F, -1.5R, 0 toe all around
suspension: Stance GR+ Pro with 12k/12 custom setup
rubbing: on FULL soft i get minimal rub when i hit a hard drip while cornering, on medium to full stiff(not recommended on the street at all), im rub-free
fender rolling: fronts are rolled, rears are rolled and pulled

your old setup is alot like mine. I like the new setup maybe I'll duplicate that and try to get some fender flares....

vinceGC8 What suspension are you running? By that I mean what coils and what are they at the absolute stiffest setting? LoL

Future posters should also put suspension and fender work / rubbing. The format on the nasioc thread is sweet.

ey vince, how do you think 17x9 +30's would fit all around? Judging by your setup i'm gonna guess it's a no go on stock fenders. but BUT what if i put on some fender flares?!?!? I really want to find some that fit my car or make some fit.

17x9 +30 would looks really good with some fender flares. im not sure +30 is low enough to fill the flares. you might even have to go down to +25 or so.

but a +38 will fit if you pulled the rear fenders.

if i didnt have WRX control arms in the front 17x9.5 +35 would fit, ive tried :)

never been much of a fan for the stretched tire look.

but be careful of ur bearings. 5x100 bearings arent as robust as the 5x114

on that note keep with the wide wheels AND tires coming!

im only running 17x8's with 225's

tires not rubbing on the strut, any wider tire i would be. then a spacer and widebody or flares would be in order.


witch im highly considering.
