For those of you that know me, and know my plight, then let me say that my long journey has successfully completed another chapter. I have taken delivery of my RS from UPRD! :biggest:
For those of you that don't know my story, then I suggest your hurry and visit my web site and read the whole thing because, let's face it, you really don't have anything better to do.

Here is my little story...
On Wednesday, the 26th of December, I called UPRD and asked for a status on my car. Amazingly, everything was finally falling in place, and the car would probably be started that night, or the following day! I was astounded, and immediately made arrangements for travel to the SoCal area.
Thursday night, my parents and I headed out, stopping to spend the night in Banning, and continuing on in the morning. We found the UPRD shop fairly easily (it was the one with my car parked out back
) and we began to meet and talk to the different people. I met Billy and Branden immediately. Very friendly people. They informed me to go have lunch and come back, as the car was having a cold start issue and that JC was due to come by very soon to look into it.
After lunch, we met with JC and talked about the car and the problems it had. Apparently I had bent a rod pretty bad. I was informed of how to break in the car, and then was handed the keys with only 30 miles on the new motor.
The only down side was talking to Matt, who informed us of some serious budget overruns. But after the car being in the shop for five months, he really had us over a barrel. We agreed to the terms, scheduled a return visit for the final tune, and I left to go visit my buddy Kevin.
Kevin, Kian, Mike and myself went romping all over the SoCal/Irvine area, putting almost 200 miles on the car in the first night. The car was running about 8psi, and I was very paranoid about putting my foot into the throttle at all. But from the second I got into it again, I remembered how much I love my little GC8.
We met up with *** a little later, and watched him attempt to drift his car on his new 18" rims. All in all, we had a good time!
Saturday we drove out to Glen Helen Regional Park and went to see the Resolutions car show. It was great being the only Impreza there, and showing off my (now) $12k motor. Ha ha. I carried the rod around with me as a trophy for all to see.
Saturday night, we went to the SoCal meet, but with all the rain, and the packed location of the meet, I met very few people. I wish I could have met all the owners and talked more about Subaru's. If I have said it once, I will say it a million times. When you plan your meets, pick some place that isn't NOISY!!! I have been to 2 SoCal meets, and both times I was disappointed because of the atmosphere of the event.
Sunday I drove home. Literally. That was all I did. And now I am posting here. Pretty groovy huh?
Well, thanks for reading.
Ciao
