yep so i bought both of them for $1500 total, blue bug eye has an hks catless exhaust and a v2 accessport. bugeye had an overheating issue and the kid who bought them said he changed the thermostat and it wouldnt crank anymore. the blobeye he thinks has a bent valve. both of them have super clean interiors and i figure theres more parts here than i have use for and I can easily get my money back. $250 to have them towed to my house. Not gonna touch them til next spring at the earliest but either way I got my moneys worth. Maybe if i can figure out what's wrong w/ one of them i can get the other built, or maybe make an ute out of the blobeye since i got a title with that one.

Wasn't to cold and got a day off. Spent a few hours tearing out the dash. Just gotta get into the engine bay to get the rest of the harness. Likely last bit of progress until spring

3 months ago, I emailed Subaru(and got case#) to ‘officially’ tell me:
How many Acadia Green 98 5spd RS’s were imported to US.
Freakin 101!

I printed out email and is in my ‘car folder’
2 of my friends also are sending similar requests to SOA for their specific color/transmission for their 98 RS’s

send me a DM/PM or whatever it’s called nowadays…..would be a pleasure to forward u email

interesting, I hear a lot of different things about how many of them were made. I'd be really interested to see how many brilliant red coupes are on the road, as I kinda suspect they're probably the rarest at this point. heres a pic someone posted on one of the facebook groups from a while ago, I don't know if theres any truth to it I just thought it was interesting. I didn't want a green RS because it's the rarest thing, I wanted it because I think it's the best color/trim available for the RS. I was really lucky to get this car blindly

heres a pic of a brilliant red 98 I found randomly. I've only found a few coupes in my area and most don't run. This subi was visiting from vermont temporarily. I'm a mailman so I've been pretty much everywhere in my somewhat large city. I always get excited when I find one lol.
