I am installing a '98 Impreza manual transmission into a '92 Legacy turbo that was an automatic. Can anyone help me identify these wires? Are they neutral, reverse lights, ???

#1 is the back-up light switch
#3 (if square w/4 wire) is the rear O2 sensor

#2 most likely is the neutral start switch if it runs parallel with the back-up light switch wire on top of the tranny.

Thanks, I think you are right. The tranny swap is now complete. The only thing left to do is wire up the reverse lights.
