Ok.. here is more...

Ups dropped off some new goodies...

Fits perfect on Koyo rad.

Dug this up... but its just too big.
Time to look for something smaller.

New fancy AL maplight.

Apparently when the cage was welded the steering bracket was welded a bit off..
You can see how crooked it is.

Re-welded in proper place.

Surge tank was mouted as well.
Hopefully it'll clear the spec-C tank.

Spare mount brackets were fabricated.

Pretty view from the side.

Jack mounting position and foam.

Got my helper for the day..

Did some welding as well..

More brackets were removed...

Dash mounting in process..

Cut the cf fenders a bit..

It was also time to patch the firewall.

Before..

Say hello to kitty hair.

Sand and ...

Repeat...

Oil cooler template.. I am thinking if its not too small...
With the intercooler and the bumper up ... the radiator seems now almost totally blocked...

So... Here we go again....

First order of the day was to weld in the battery mount.

Mounted at an angle with AL case.

JDM meth tank brackets were modified and welded up.
This provides a flat mount for a future divider plate

And those fancy mounts !!!
This should clear the fuel pump access cover.

Now.. here is the fancy layout of the "designer" trunk.

And another view...

All plays nice with the spare.

Baby oil cooler got installed.

Last but not least... Fancy steering wheel switches...
Now I only need to pick a steering wheel that I like.

I was thinking about doing dual setup as well but there was no need.

Reliability .. yes.. but overall 044's seem to be pretty much bulletproof.

What hp are you planning to run ?

Ok...

The day started with final bumper mount work.

And the other side as well..

Bottom part was fabbed to cover the bumper.

Next up was more weight shaving...

More door "work" was performed....

All this netted a healthy harvest of .5-.7 lb...

Few mysterious circles appeared in the engine bay...

A roof vent bracket was welded up as well. Not the prettiest thing but i guess it needs to be there.

Finally the new straps were tested...

We are almost ready to start gluing the panels !!!!!!!

Finally .. after 2 years of waiting/work time has come...

Yes.. the left fender has been glued...

Here is some prep-work..

Seam sealed and painted.

A little warmup for the 3 minute epoxy working time !!!

... and we are off..

30 min clamp time.

All glued up..

2nd fender didnt get glued due to the fact that this arrived a bit late..

Last but not least... first coat of "hello kitty hair" was applied to both sides of the engine bay..

^That or Eastwood's new roll on "impervious clear coat" kit. I'm itching to try it but I'm a long way off from undercoating Lol.
