Well.. wherever there is a 0 its a full spark cut.

I do have a fuel pressure gauge ...
But you got a valid point..

Modified the tables accordingly.
Now if anything it should still run (idle) even with very low fuel pressure.

nice, on the fuel limiter, is that a full engine kill or just boost cut. Cause i mean you could end up with a dirty filter and strand yourself someday

If you deactivate the cut below 3k you should still be out of boost, and give you enough to limp home

The cut is boost related.. so anything in the vacuum area up to 0 psi would work.

Here is the new table.
Cut would start at 2800rpm @ 0psi
I checked the log.. during "normal" driving I am in -5.8 of vacuum range and that's with 20% throttle application.

So are you doing time attack or anything with all this? Or just a weekend once in a while on a track?

Does it leave the garage? (throws stones from glass chair)
I probably dont stand much chance against "aero-d" cars.. but yes.. track days aka HPDE and alike are planned.

Its now full Floridian car so..
yes, I use it but not as much as I want.
(just did a school run in it on Monday :p )

I cant just get in and go.. I always hook up a laptop and log the runs..

Plus the track requirement was to have working windshield wipers..
And the paint on the ones I just did went to shit.
Dont know where I went wrong as I primed and wiped and degreased...

Btw.. Here is the new FL plate..

P.S
Yeah.. I dont think I'll be registering that Porsche in the corner though...
It needs that rear engine and gearbox needs some work.

But is the Bel Air? registered?

Also matching VIN on the Porsche and gear box? That's where the money is.

Bel Air ?

Porsche even has the original leather seat.
Only thing missing is the wind screen.
Operated by two pedals, both of them are gas pedals. (need both pressed to operate)
Horn works as well.

This is how it looked right after a full restore, detail and paint correction.

I need more track days in my life
Tell me about it.
You have Pocono raceway and they have plenty of events.
In-field tracks are pretty nice.

I run with NASA few times.. they are good because you get an instructor.
But once you get the hang.. other clubs offer more track time for the price.

NASA usually bundles the track days with some other competition like Time attack.. thus you only get 4 max 5 20 min sessions.

Fun nonetheless.

Pocono is 5hrs away. We have Pitt Race but nobody lieks a tube chassis car so i've been limited to TNiA's which well, are hard to get real track times from since you cant pass slower traffic until a straight and only if they "let you"

Ah...
I see .. you've studied the picture well...

Its the 'Murican Airlines 409 Sleeper.
It has custom paint mods from the early NASCAR era.
This one factory standard came without an engine.

Thats the concept with HPDE as well..
You pass on point-by.

Only difference is you have 4 groups based on "experience".
I've done 2 days back to back in Poconos and NJ...

Sometimes they allowed to camp on the track property.. but those days might be long gone..

Your tube chassis might be a liability for them, but then your argument would be its not a convertible and its a DOT registered and approved vehicle.
You just missing the side protection a bit. (as compared to an ariel atom)

TNiA didnt seem to care about liabilty. If its got a plate, run it. I even brought arm restraints and they didnt care if i used them since i needed to point by.

Finally came time to close the rear parcel shelf hole.
Here we start with some CAD equipment.

Biggest challenge is getting to the back witout removing the seats.

Meet the sheet.

CAD template was transfered but I decided to do the arch with some string and a marker since my trace of the window wasnt perfect.

Installed pics coming tomorrow...

Last but not least for today...
I had to strip and paint the wipers again.
Finally a set of wipers installed !!!
