Ok... The heater was test fitted.
The screws were removed in favor of flush aluminium rivets..

This allows it to be mounted flat.

Now onto the hood latch.
Took some balls (at least for me) to cut that JDM aluminium hood.

Pin placement seemed OK but that wasn't the case..
We had to fiddle around to get it properly aligned.

Balls out.. and I cut the other latch.

Lower rad beam was removed in order to properly align the intercooler and radiator..

Up close and personal with the risers to clear the STI radiator.

Finally the seat and steering column were mounted to test the placement of the new hydraulic hand brake..

A productive Saturday I must say...
Managed to custom mount the IC.

After 3 week wait... this beauty showed...

Raised rad supports to clear the lower outlet.

At 33" the IC was longer than expected...
Some plasma action and welding was applied.

Building a fork lift.. are we ?

Finished product... Lower IC mount brackets.
With the front bumper beam mount holes nicely boxed.

A glimpse of the Master welder.

A finished product with top support beam

Next step... Cutting the carbon bumper....

Lots of labor.. thats why its called labor day.

Gotta be hard work when the sparks fly out of the ass..

So much hard work that even the tow strap got welded in !!!

And a nice lightweight hand brake bracket !!!

This guy never stops!!!
The gas pedal bracket wasnt lining up.. it was cut in 1/2 and a new bracket was formed.

Since we started early today.. There was time left to trim and fit the dash.

Looking good so far.. there should be no gap.

The diet never stops...

Finally.. front carbon bumper has been trimmed to fit the intercooler...

... and a hidden tow hook bolt.

And on another note.. more progress !!!

Early morning began with Sti washer tank being welded in.

Since I dont know what happened to my dash bar... next on the menu was lightweight Vipec and Pdm mounts.

Here is a Vipec plate is going through its required diet procedure.

Thats gotta be at least 10 grams of AL!!!

Vipec's and Motec's new home.

Next up the firewall holes got welded up...

Not digging the look of this....
This needs to get covered somehow.

CF foot rests got installed today.
Here is the backing bracket.

This guy works so hard !!!
All I do is just take pictures.

All drilled up.

And now with the other side.
