Sorry that nobody answered your question before. So the 2006-2007 2.5i Imprezas got a different (more strict) emission regime than the earlier cars. That makes building an exhaust that both fits those 2 years and also passes emissions much more expensive than the previous years. All hope is not lost (if you are related to Bill Gates). Using the earlier 2002-2005 Impreza aftermarket exhausts does fit, but eventually the ecu will figure out that you don't have the higher grade catalytic converters necessary, and you will throw check engine lights and won't pass emissions. Even if you don't have emissions, the ecu will change how it runs (in a worse way) with the check engine lights on.
