For those of you who dont know, I blew the motor in my LGT, well I put a new one in and now the car revs to 4k before the trans decides to grab..... wtf? any suggestions or is my tranny now fubared too. car has 136k miles 99 LGT limited 2.5 DOHC auto.

Try Changing the fluid and the filter . It may help but it wont hurt to give it a try.
When you drop the fluid pan check for any metal flakes , that should tell you if it is cooked or not .
