Also in Dec there was the last round for subie challange at Streets of willow. My wife came out with me and and raced her bugeye.
I got second place for Class 2 (1:29.04) and she got second place for Class 3 (1:29.88)
I also realized that the previews owner of the raptor adjusted the spring perches in the front to the highest setting hence why the front looks to damn high with a trailer(it comes stock on the lower perch setting). No issues towing the GC minus the 10 MPG while towing(its not that bad as it get 13 MPG normally) A 6.2L V8 tends to do that ?.
I won first place for the season for the 2019 Subie Challenge in Class 2!
I have really improved my driving skills though out the season(as you can see my times from the first half vs the second half) which is what the Subie Challenge series is all about! The organizers put on a great season and gave out some really cool plaques, thanks guys!. And I have to say thanks to my awesome wife who supported me and encouraged when even when I was doing crappy in he beginning.
I cant wait to start the 2020 season here on the 22nd of Feb at Big Willow. My goals for this year are to get under 2:00 at buttonwillow 13 CW and hopefully under 2:00 at Chuckwalla as well.
Its been a little bit since I have updated this...
At the end of Feb I went to the season opener for Subie Challenge 2020 at WISR, "Big Willow"
I hadnt been to this track in quite a few years but it was for sure a fun one, I beat my previous personal best by 13.4 secs. My new PB is 1:36.4 sec. The high speeds that you enter turn 8 at is a bit creepy at first as normally you aren't going over 120 mph turning that much, but after a few times around you kinda get used to it. I cant wait to go back!
Here is the footage from my best lap
I missed out of Round 2 and round 3 was cancled due to COVID-19 :/
Other things I have done was I sourced the GC8 Type R/RA IC Water spray buttons. Making them work with the version 8 Auto spray feature should be a good quarantine project.
Oh and lastly i picked up a camper shell for the raptor, will be nice to be able to store stuff in the back and not have to worry about it. Especially for track days when I spend the night at a hotel by the track.
