Does anyone that has 17" wheels w/ 48+mm offset run 215/40's with stock suspension?

I have 17's with 50mm offest w/ 215/40's and they rubbed the rubber fender liner off in the rear. I am shopping around for new wheels and most of the ones I like are 50mm.

what is the width of the wheels? what brand of tires and what suspension are you running? those can be the factor of rubbing issues.. maybe more additional info of your wheels would help us help you?

here's my setup
TEIN type HA (1 finger gap between tire and fender)
215/45/17 RE730s
17x7.5 +48mm Volk Rays TE37k

The wheels are 17x7. Stock suspension. A 20 sway bar helped a little.

For the offset you can be off the 53mm mark by like plus or minus 5 or so mm without much problem. You'll have a bit of rubbing but nothing major.
