I recently swapped my 93' impreza's 1.8l with a 95 legacy 2.2l. Well the car runs rich because of the bigger injectors and bogs down on start up until it is warm. I was wondering if the 1.8l's injectors could handle the better flowing engine and won't run out of "steam" with the more "powerful" engine:banana:LOL. Thanks in advance.

You're sure it's because of the injectors? They are the same size....so I think you have other issues. Is the FPR vacuum line plugged in (or plugged up)? What about the return line? Is it in good shape?

I think it is the injectors. the 1.8l injectors are grey and the 2.2l injectors are red. All the lines are fine. BTW I am still running the 1.8l ecu.

Have you done an ECU reset? It might not fix the problem....hell it probably won't but you should try it anyway.

LOL I think the ecu reset when I was swapping the engine. But yea I have reset the ecu recently when my trans went to $h!t.
