ok motor is back together and I did timing right I followed the process for the heads and I cant get the motor to crank. its not sized up or anything and the battery is good and the starter is almost new. any idea?
It only takes a couple teeth to hit the valves on a high comp motor like that. If thats the case you should be able to use your old 2.2 heads on it. I find it hard to belive its knocking unless all the failed attempts to start it without oil pressure hurt the bearings.
