Default What Exedy Clutch for V7 EJ207 & Stock 2.5RS Transmission

Hi!

I have a connection to manufacturer pricing for EXEDY clutches only.

I will be running a V7 EJ207 on my stock RS Transmission until I can afford to pick up the 6spd swap. So I'm prepping to get parts around the motor before I purchase it.

My question is if anyone has experience with running a Exedy clutch kit with a similar setup of turbo motor + stock RS trans? If so which one? Please and thank you in advanced for your help!

This should be helpful...
FAQ: Clutch 101

"- If you have a non-turbo transmission that was originally meant for a push type clutch, you must get another push type clutch"

2000 RS OEM clutch kit from Exedy part number is:
KSB04

As was already mentioned, you have to match the clutch to the type of transmission you are using - push type with push type or pull type with pull type.

That said, best to buy once. Unless you are going to run the RS transmission for a long time before the 6MT swap, buy the clutch for the 6MT now and do it all in one shot.

Unless, of course, you have plenty of money to throw around and it doesn't matter to you.

An HD Organic clutch should do it. I like my Southbend KSB04 HD-O which is similar to the Exedy HD
