Way wrong.

Run power straight off the battery to the relays. Trigger the relays with the stock headlight wiring. Super basic. Also, that Daniel Stern page linked earlier has all the info, including diagrams.

I agree! Why I didn't buy one, but still wanted to know what he charged, materials wise it's very cheap and easy to build your own. And then you can make it custom fitted for your car so you don't have extra to hide somewhere.

I've been using the $40 harnesses from Amazon for a while on a few different vehicles with no issue. Not sure how he can charge that much.

I have one of those in my pathfinder, the relays failed in less than six months. hopefully you're having better luck! I want replace the relays but they use a non standard relay and I haven't bothered rewiring it for bosch units
