only issue was not being able to control ignition timing. I could retard it a little but need more control. I was a very nice smooth powerful responsive motor but kept exploding itself due to aggressive timing. I got 2 years now on this new setup and wrx ecu without issues. I think i went through 3 motors on that emanage piggyback
Hey I am building a 2.2t with 96 hla heads and I saw your threads and wondered if you had issues with head gaskets sense then with the lager combustion chamber on those heads ? I am scared to use them because is the gasket not fitting perfectly. Thanks
ya. I planned on giving it one last run today but ended up tearing my gas tank out yesterday with the nice weather and starting the rear end work on future foz
thats a bad idea, that motor is already about 12:1 compression, any boost will make it knock unless you have extremely high octane fuel or run 0° of ignition timing
