Default Wheel bearing replacement

I need to replace all four corners. But before I go about doing this the difficult way by pressing in new bearings.

I seem to recall someone saying to just purchase the whole assembly? Can I get this anywhere?

Also is there a newer upright combination that will work the the gc but with bolt in bearings instead of pressed?

I'm in the same boat. I've looked all over the place and can't find any new front bearing/hub assemblies. Hate having to deal with these stupid press in bearings.

Don't mean to hijack either but does anyone know if a 93 fwd front hub/bearing will fit on a 96 awd? I just got a new wheel bearing put in but now there's a squeak/vibration because the hub is worn out and I refuse to keep putting a bunch of money into this dumb shit.

You can purchase all new parts, but it gets very expensive quickly.
Pressing in new bearings is not that difficult, as long as you have the right tools and you have the skill level.

Another option is to call a reputable JDM Importer. There are many interchangeable parts between the years and it may be possible to purchase a used complete assembly with lower miles. I recommend JDM Racing Motors in Canada. Really good people to work with.

Another possible solution:
It may be possible to swap a 2005 STi front hub and wheel bearing assembly, which comes with bolt-in bearings, BUT there is a catch -
1. Very expensive option
2. These hubs come with 5x114.3 wheel stud spacing, so you would have to re-drill the hubs ( yes, can be done )
3. You would have to switch to STi front stuts

As for the rear wheel bearings, they are press-in through 2007. In 2008 they were bolt-in but I never tried swapping the rear assemblies.

It is possible to replace the whole assembly "knuckle"
Try these guys.F&S Auto Parts - 888-372-8862 - Subaru Auto Parts Specialist
I purchased two used knuckles from them, hub and bearing included. Drove both for over three years with no problems.

The 'difficult' way is just you know, the way.

No.
