You probably wont rub with 215s, with 225s youll probably need to roll your rear fenders. It depends on offset of the wheel, the tire manufacturer etc.

would +48 245/40/17 17x8 fit with rolled fenders and an appropriate spacer

Good question, I have the same wheel setup and Im looking into running 245/40s next time. Hopefully a spacer would not be needed (fingers crossed) and a mild pull might be involved, not sure. If you try it, let me know!

unfortunately a spacer will be needed since only 7"ish clearance from rear struts

So youve tried fitting the wheel/tire setup already? I know the wheels by themselves will clear just fine. Im running 235/40s right now and they are fine w/o spacers. Im hoping that the extra 5mm from the 245s that it will still have clearance.

im on prodrive springs with AGX so idk, just what someone told me

here are the 3 prospective fitments id like to see if they fit w/ rolling which im willing to do

16x7 225/50/16 +38
17x7.5 235/45/17 +45
17x8 245/40/17 +46
