My brakes work fantastically with the stock master cylinder, but I have no comparison to how it would be with a different one installed.

I'm also curious if anyone has done a proper ABS delete with these. I'm considering going to all new lines right from the master.

I completed my conversion yesterday. Fronts were done fairly easily, DBA rotors/hawk pads. My rear brakes were drums and I swapped to 04WRX knuckles/hub assemblies. I trimmed the dust shield and mounted the KB bracket without issues. A definate improvement overall but theres just one problem. Wheel bearings are a MUST.

When I bought the 04WRX hubs/knuckles second hand I was told that the bearings were good, I was mistaken. I guess all it takes is water to get in there and these hubs must of been sitting for all I know. When driving home after the swap It made a howling/grinding sound. I am certain it is bearings (right driver side), my question is can this wait til friday latest to get fixed, how bad can this exceed to?

This thread is great! Are there a lot of you that are still interested in the 4 / 2 Pot brake upgrades?

Just yesterday i did alittle matinece to my brakes. I have 4pots on the front and RS drilled and slotted rotors on the back. The front two rotors were warped so i got new rotors, new HP brake fluid, pads, and bleed the system out. Now the shaking stoped from the rotors not being warped but stopping is still an issue.

I feel like im stopping a truck. The brakes are spongey you have to push the pedal in pretty far and it slows down slowly as if it weighs 8000pounds. Could it be something wrong with my brake booster??

OK, so where is the official 'if this is your car, this brake swap will work' thread. I've got a line on a mechanically sound '06 WRX (with no drivetrain) that i want to tear apart and swap to my 2.5i, if i can.

Also,
AWDkid -- bleed them again. (If you didn't already.)
