Naw poleboy is out for the next few months, i guess I'll have to go for Kartboys unless somebody is willing to sell theirs. Now I just need to find a good deal on some 4/2 pots. Found brembos for 1500, too bad they dont fit my rims. Are SS universal, can I just get lines for the WRX or are there going to be fitment issues?

I'm running stainless lines from Cobb made for the RS and they fit just fine. You can use WRX lines too. Either will work.

As for your earlier question about a DIY thread, it's actually incredibly easy, especially if you use the brackets instead of replacing the backing plates. Just unbolt the old calipers, yank off the old rotors, bolt up the rear bracket, and put the new rotors and calipers on where the old ones were. Reattach the brake lines, bleed them thoroughly and you're good to go.

If you need help with getting the old ones off, factory service manuals are downloadable on Subaru.com and they have all the info you'll need.

From what I heard it's not hard to do the two pot with the kartboy brackets. You do have to remove the dusty shield, which is behind the rotor, to prevent the larger rear rotor from hitting it.

this is the way I did mine
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...php?p=23205820

I changed the backing plate all together. I had a link to how to install the two pot using kartboy, but can't find it right now.

Thanks Stoke and Iht. I'm beginning to think the only way to get some 4/2 pots is to buy them new. I'll keep checking craigslist and the member classifieds. Where else can Kartboys adapters be found? Google and their website haven't yielded any results to speak of.

I have seen them here and there used on nasioc and stuff. I bought mine new from Subaru genuine parts and then drove down to pick them up.

they are basically
Chaplin's Bellevue Subaru
15000 SE Eastgate Way
Bellevue, WA 98007

You can order them online and tell them that you will pick them up and they'll refund you on shipping.

http://www.oakos.com/Merchant2/merch...t_Code=KBBRAKE

is the only place that I know about right now.

I just bought a set of the Subaru FHI 06-07 4pots and 2pots with 06-07 Wrx rotors and pads for $650 shipped a couple of weeks ago. I got it of from a great guy that was selling his GC8 swapped. I emailed him about selling the brake setup separately and he gladly offer me $600 for the setup. I could have just pickup the brake setup because he was close but due to snow I opted for shipping instead. I received the brake setup in one day. I am so glad I waited patiently to get mine.

Cool, that's what I want to find. I'll keep looking. I didn't know Subaru Genuine Parts was in Bellevue, Im in southern WA so picking the brackets up would probably be a good idea.

well subaru gen is where i bought my brakes from.
https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/index.php

I replaced my rear backplates.

They Sold everything in a kit, so I didn't have to go find anything like the anti-rattle clips.

Down the road I'm planning getting cross drilled rotors, ss brake line, and perfomance brake pads for a 01 rs. wil the 4/2 pots fit those rotors and pads

they will fit as long as you get a 294mm rotor or the wrx version with 5 x 100 bolt pattern. and any SS brake line will fit.

Oh right you also need to get the pads for the 2006 wrx TR
which already comes with these brake calipers http://cars.ign.com/articles/709/709457p1.html
The original pads / rotors will not fit with these calipers.
