Default Impreza door card swap

I'm looking to swap door cards in my 95 lx for some with power windows and locks. I found a 99 outback that's parting out and just wanted to make sure they would swap over if I get ththe wiring and everything. I've read that they will and some people say they wont if im rs an outback and just need to make sure before I get them.

97 saw a lot of interior changes. The actual shape of the door cards themselves changed. I'm not sure about the wiring, but I wouldn't just assume they'll work unless you get info from someone who has actually done that swap specifically. If you're inclined you could take look at the wiring diagrams for both and see whether the plugs are compatible.

The door cards and power windows will physically fit. I dont remember offhand if the base model imprezas came with the wiring for power windows/locks but they may have. Youll need all the hardware including the metal pull door handle that the door card mounts too since its different from the 95. Also it wont visually match with the 95 dash board but itll physically work

98 was actually the year that saw all the interior changes, the 97 interior is much like the early interiors except for having the 98-01 HVAC and *maybe* a different speed sensor on the cluster. I think the window switches may have been a little different too but other than that it was mostly the same. 98 was when they changed the interior almost completely, 97 was a crossover year

@Jack_Stalk
Ah, you're 100% right. I got my years crossed up for the interior.

The clusters themselves only changed from 140mph to 120mph. Everything else (but the HVAC) is the same from 93-96 (speed sensors, window switches, door handles, etc.)
