The Second Impreza RS Transformation
After the 98 RS was sold, I was in search of another Subaru, but being that STi's are just too much money, driven mostly by d-bags, and the fact that I love the older Imprezas, another GC8 had to be found. At first, I looked for any high mileage RS that I could eventually swap, because at that time, GT and ECS were swapping alot of cars and and GC8's swaps were becoming the "new thing". Myself, having mild OCD, I could not find an RS that fit my standards.
So, I waited and stumpled across a local car that I had to go check out...the listing read..5,000 Original miles, Lots of work, etc,etc. It was a 2000 RS with literally 5k on the odometer. The problem was It was the ugliest thing I'd ever seen in my life
Heres a short list of the rediculous parts that were on the car:
Full authentic Veilside kit, 18in VOLK TE37's, Corbeau Seats, carbon hood, the loudest 5zigen exhaust, Randomtech cat, TWE headers(cool but loud), JDM tails, V6 wing, etc.
Now, some of the cool parts were kept, but the car was mostly striped down, UN-pimped and transformed into a Normal car. The good thing was the guy kept some of the stock parts and the car was kept incredibly clean. The car was basically a SHOW car that was turned into my current daily driver/auto-x vehicle. A couple weeks later:
Stock interior, SideSkirts, Fog covers, Spats painted and body returned to stock
