Default Kodama - Hail's 99 OBS - JDM V7 STi Swap

So here I stand, again. Staring at a familiar face, with a familiar feeling. Oh how I've missed this feeling. Excitement, thrill of a vision, future frustration, and accomplishment. It's good to be back.

The past 6 months I've been trolling around craigslist and any other place used Subarus are sold these days. I finally found a worthy partner in crime. A white 1999 Outback Sport who has been stuck in California her whole life. Perfect in every way (including the dents and dings of past adventures) to become something more.

That's quite the list, but it looks like you're starting with a great car. I've been searching CL everyday for the past few months too...nothing good popping up anymore though.

I just found my OBS just like yours, except mine is blue, and I haven't figured out a list like yours.
Congrats!

Step one complete - V7 Swap has been purchased. And a lil hatch goodness. Should be arriving on Tuesday. And so it begins.

082915:

This morning I removed the OBS USDM roof rails in preparation for the JDM roof rail install. Much easier removal than expected. However the protective film removal is going to be a huge PITA. I also now need new roof moulding trim to match the areas the JDM rails leave open.

Also a shame Subaru didn't just use tape to hold down the top 3 "aero" rails on the roof. Not sure what I'm going to do about those yet. Probably have the holes filled whenever she goes in for the repaint.

The JDM wide side view mirror glass came in yesterday too. Look forward to getting these installed. Super easy and major difference.
