Default Enraptured baby blue, Shauns swapped 00' coupe

Baby blue started her life as a white 2000 2.5 rs that had a rod through the top of the engine and was being parted out. I picked her up for $800 of of CL and drove 2 hrs to pick up.

I originally bought this car to do a simple swap and have a nice daily driver and sell my 14' Crosstrek to be rid of a car payment. Then I got carried away with the build.
Current status

Day one

Finally home

As you can see the car is actually really rust free for a new england car but did have some rear quarter rust starting and was side swiped and a nice crease down the passenger side.

I was very eager to start the body work I originally told my self I would wait to start this project but that didn't happen.

At this point I realized how crappy subaru's paint was and proceeded to scrape all the pain off the car with a razor. I originally did not want to paint the whole car and was going to keep it white since it was in decent shape.

I decided after much debate to remove the side moulding, which I must add is a pain since the metal on these cars are so thin it warps very easily.

First of four application of High build primer.

The drivers side was just as much work.

And parts start arriving

I had quite a hard time figureing out what color to paint it I originally wanted a pearl white but after some debating I decided to go with a blue. But I didn't want WRB so settled on a Ford Mid atlantic pearl blue

The engine bay all pretty

So by this time it was starting to get cold and snow was looming soon in upstate Ny so had to get a portable garage current garage full of other projects

Started installing the wrx harness, pedals, heater box, engine bay components and master cylinder.

Since this car is suppose to be a daily driver I Dynomatted the whole car Is only 60 pounds added at most.

Engine , cradle, and transmission matted together ready to go in as one assembly

engine Is in !!!!

Here is some more progress pictures haven't worked on it in about 2 weeks due to the cold but I got the drivetrain all buttoned up and brakes working. along with it running now I am just waiting on tires to make it drivable.

So i had the headliner out of it and figured I should redo it with something cool and while looking for black suede at fabric store the GF pulled out this pink suede so here you go
