Default KruseMissile's 99' RS with soon to be jdm powaaa

Where should I start.... well, I first started looking for a subaru probably 2 years ago in hope of getting a WRX or STi but after calling the insurance company I soon realized that wasn't going to happen because of my age(17). So next thing I turned to was the 1st and 2nd gen legacy gt sedans. Turns out their insurance is more than that of a coupe 2.5rs which I preferred over the legacys. After about a year of seeing them pop up and sell within a day, I was nearing the end of the **** rope. That's when I found Hitokiri's car. Here is the listing

After talking for a couple of weeks, our schedules finally matched up and my dad and I were able to drive up to see the car. When he took us for a spin I was amazed at how quick the car was. I had never been in that fast of a car, besides a corvette. My dad was in the back and was just getting thrown around when Todd would take a corner hard and accelerate out of it haha.

Here is the car the day I picked it up...


Subaru blue DC shoes rally division, just for the occasion

KYB AGX shocks w/ V6 STI springs
Black STI 4 Pot Brakes w/ SS lines all around
Blizzack WS60 tires on Enkei Sport Gravel Wheels as shown
99RS silver rims

Zeitronix WB02 in custom upper gauge pod w/ Boost / EGT / Water Injection % duty cycle
Aquamist Waterinjection system 2D controlled by Emanage ultimate Secondary injector drivers
Converted to 2004 Ford Mustang MAF sensor with Emanage ultimate to avoid fragile 99RS hot film MAF failures.

-J+S Ultrasafeguard which is plugged in when tuning - logs ignition retard to -Zeitronix
-18mm rear swaybar
-Blitz EBC electronic boost controller
-Turbo Timer
-Jun Flywheel
-ACT street organic disc with Extreme pressure plate

- Turbo kit is one of original Ludespeed st.2 Kits. t360 with Tial38 ext. Wastegate. SS downpipe. JetHot coated Turbo.
- Oil Catch Can
- 2.5" TBE with Prodrive Oval Tip muffler
- External Tial 38mm wastegate
- Redline Super Shockproof in transmission
- TMIC w/ HKS SS BOV recirculated to intake.
- Has run up to 12psi at times with WI and never knock - knock breaks engines not power.
- EGT tuned and always kept < 850c max for safety
- Group N Trans Mount
- Kartboy shifter

Wheels look pretty nice on there. Reminds me of the the wrc prodrive car I saw.

thanks! I picked up some 17" white OZ Superleggas. I'll have to update this thread when I finally get it driving.




The car is making some weird noises tho after my recent clutch install. See here for more info...

My car has been broken for so long Not to worry tho(more info on that later). I left for basic april 15, graduated june 27th, and started ait at ft gordon july 6. I graduate soon, so i'll be home for 2 weeks before i ship off to Germany! So the goal is to get the car running and operational before I leave lol. The ARMY will be paying for it to be shipped over, so i don't need to worry about that.

So what originally happened; I was driving with my cousins one night, showing them the car. It was running fine, then we got into the jackinthebox drive through. I suddenly lost all clutch pressure... I went into oh shit mode and tried pumping the clutch in hope of building up pressure. Nothing. Well fukk me right, my cousins pushed me into the parking lot and I called a tow truck. I got it home and started inspecting it. I didn't lose any fluids, so no lines broke. I figured it might be the clutch master or slave cylinder, so those were the first things i replaced. Nope. I bleed the system for a whole day, nothing. Then i dropped the tranny and found the fork had cracked. So i ordered a new 08 wrx one as it was much beefier. While the tranny was dropped I replaced the clutch disk and had the flywheel resurfaced. I also got a grpN transmission and motor brace and whiteline transmission crossmember bushings. I also moved the battery to the trunk while i was bored. A couple months later I put it all back together and put fresh fluids in the motor and transmission(neither had metal shavings). We disconnected the spark plugs so the fluids had a chance to circulate. After having it turn over 10-15 times we started it. It ran great for 5 mins or so, then we hear dripping. We look under the car and motor oil was coming out of an exhaust leak(didn't know i had one lol). At that point i threw the hat in and gave up. I was leaving for basic in a couple of days so I was done with it. My parents were nice enough to hold onto it for me when I would get back home.

We figure it is most likely a bad seal on the turbo, i mean it had been sitting without oil for a couple of months. But my plan now is to do a 04 wrx motor and transmission swap and make it much more reliable. I'll run it stock for a while until i build up the funds to do much else. It is a much much different plan than I intended but right now i think this is the best thing to do in order to get it back on the road ASAP.
