Default Rally America #171, Open class gc8 - first ever overall win!

Hi everyone, my name is Carl Siegler. I've been stage rallying since 2009. I built an Open Light 2004 STi, ran it for 1 season and then converted it to Open Class. In 2010 I was 2nd overall and 2nd in open class for the 2010 Rally America Central Region Championship. This season has not been so good (technically starting at LSPR). We have had to pick up the car with the trailer at every rally this season (broken suspension, stuck in a ditch, blew the motor, and finally totaling the car at the last rally).

but then I crashed it at about 90mph, launched it into a vertical spin and came down some 30ft further down the road. The pics don't show it but the chassis is twisted severely side to side making it a write-off

This is where rs25 comes in! I now have a 1996 brighton to transfer all my parts into!

this engine is still good, so that's what's going in!

There are waaaay too many mods to list but the important stuff that is going into this car will be:

2010 EJ257 w/ 9.8:1 Manely pistons
GT2871R w/ 34mm restrictor
Fobia equal length manifold
Reverse intake manifold/fmic
Terry Stamper tuned GEMS N14 ecu
GEMS programmable DCCD controller
Carbonetic 1.5 way front diff
Carbonetic 2 way rear diff
4/2 pots
RS&SP coilovers
Sparco PRO ADV seats
FIA spec cage

I'm pretty excited to start this build. We work closely with Graham Evans who is a former Prodrive mechanic (was co-crew chief for Richard Burns when he won the WRC) and I've learned a lot from my first build. Expect to see some pretty cool stuff in the next few months!

Sucks about the GD but looks like that GC is a great platform for rally extra weight savings too!!

I'd trade just the huge scoop lol. I'm actually happy this car came with a cf hood, the stock ones are just too heavy, I'm hoping to get this car light enough that I actually have to add ballast back in to meet minimum weight
