Default Probe nut's 2000 RS

Alright, I've been tossing around the idea of starting a member journal for a while now, so here goes.

Car
2000 BRP RS sedan
Purchased summer of 2007 from a Ford dealership with 94,7xx miles on the clock.
I should start by saying that I've loved Subarus since I can remember. I was cruising around the local Ford dealer with my dad looking for a cheap car for me to drive back and forth to college. When we pulled around the back of the dealership to turn around, I noticed a dirty RS tucked between beaten Tempos and Escorts. I jumped out and, noticing that it wasn't wearing plates, got super excited. My dad had worked at the dealership in the past so they agreed to let us take it home for the weekend. Needless to say, I was in love. We went back on Monday morning, dickered with the salesmen for a while, then drove it home for good. I'm super anal with my stuff, so I spent the rest of the week (jobless that summer ) cleaning my new baby.

Somewhat current pic.

After a thorough cleaning, ugly blue tint removal, and painting the grill badge red (my first mod). I would have to live with the paint chips for a while.

Only a few weeks passed before I decided to add some new things.

Rally armor flaps, Stromung axleback, and shiny sti plate frame (debated, but I decided to keep it).

First time driving the RS to class.

Sometime after that I put on some crystal amber corners. They looked ok, but I didn't keep them for long. I decided that I like the clear look better and switched to DIY clears. I also painted the little orange bumper vents black.

Amber corners and random pics.

Nice looking RS. Those roads look awesome too-a lot like the ones near where my grandparents live, but better and the scenery's nicer. Enjoy the Subaru!

Thanks for the kind words

Time passed and not much changed.
Fast forward to February 2008. The Stromung sounded nice on its own, but I needed more rumble so I snagged an ebay header. I also decided that I loved the look of the OEM dash pod and started on my own gauge setup. Oh, and the best mod evarrr...my little red "I <3 My Car" rearview mirror thingy. You'll also notice that I'm missing one freaking OZ center cap. Yes, it drives me insane.

Somewhere around this time I removed the sunroof air diffuser thing (my favorite mod to date).

I couldn't stand the paint chips any longer and decided to let the Penn College body shop respray the front of the car during the spring 08 semester. They had it forever, but it turned out ok. The whole car will be resprayed eventually, but that'll have to wait until I have the rear quarters de-rusted.

The previous owner was also backed into or something and had the driver's front door repainted. It was a shit job and is nowhere close to matching the rest of the car.

A couple of pix from summer 08 after paint, DIY lip, and an I badge.
