So local upholstery shops wanted stupid money for pliers and hog rings, so once again amazon to the rescue with some chinesium tools! These were $20 with a bag of rings, and their recovered size is pretty much perfect to the OEM ones, and i got the freshly washed covers nice and toight, like a tiger.
and some bonus footage of our new warehouse from the second floor, its yuge!
Fuck, got my oil sample back and its exactly what i was expecting it to show. Fingers crossed its not enough damage to cause problems anytime soon, but i had to limp the car a good quarter mile down the road with the injector washing the fuck out of the cylinder that had a bad coil pack. Its crazy how easily motors will melt down with these big uncapped injectors...
I changed the oil last week after finishing the roof and have had zero problems, ill do a leakdown and visual check on the motor either tomorrow night or saturday to check whats going on.
No go back a page or two, i had a coil connector fail and had to limp the car down the highway for a minute. It would puff smoke on startup from all the fuel in the oil, it would off-gas from the oil up into the intake/cylinders and give me puffs on hot starts, i changed the oil last week and it went away. Car runs great, fucking boogies at 18psi so thats where im leaving it. Maps are 16psi and 18si w/launch/ALS.
I knew it would wash the cylinder but i had to get off the highway, i was expecting lots of fuel and ring material, thankfully no excessive steel or aluminum so the cylinder and piston should be fine. Ill scope it this weekend, i want to change the plugs and ready some new GR coil packs i just need to put the dwell into the map.

New tires showed up today, went with the Falken Azenis FK510 I wanted something with good treadwear to last a bit with all the driving i do, but grippy enough to have fun, but not grippy enough to also have fun, good in rain, and something i can get better mileage with on trips. And at $460 shipped for the set i couldnt complain.
I also went with Carbotech pads again, XP10s. So hopefully i can get all of this stuff on over the weekend, and possibly get new knuckles put together with the whiteline ball joints so i stop eating my tire edges.
