So ive been thinking about my struts for a while, they need to be replaced, one is bent, one has seized mounts and one has a seized adjuster. Id like to get something more comfortable but i want something that wont give me problems like i have with cheap coilovers and i dont want to drop 2k on KW/Ohlins for this.
Im thinking of doing Koni inserts and welding on some threaded sleeves/rings to use different springs that i have and run group-n mounts. I have the stainless sleeves off an old set of JDM option struts. They are coarse thread and excellent quality, shouldnt have any issues.
I want something thats reliable, adjustable, and easily fixed/replaced in a quick timeframe if that needs to be done.
Has anyone had Konis for a long length of time, curious how they hold up? Ive put in a bunch of them but everyone sold their GD's around here.
I really like my ISC N1's. With dampers at min, they ride super comfy. I've had them on 6/32 lately. The basics can be had in the mid 800's I think and they just don't have camber hats. Might work with other camber hats if you have them. Im just a little peeved that they want $5 to send me another damper key.
Why should we be paying to keep guy's like Chris Watts and Michael Glance alive?
