I was going to roll with the eastwood, but for another $200 you cant beat this, inverter, square-wave, pulse control, AC cleaning control and high-freq start, plus they changed 15 models with input from consumers, new pedal, flex torch, updated dinse connectors and a nice control board.
Got it up on the rotisserie, this is soooo nice and the height isnt bad either, its really easy to spin it and get to whatever weird angles i need to. I just need to clean the garage out a bit and sell my bugeye, then i can start picking up some body panels, get a new tank of gas for the welder and start living in the garage, never to be seen again.
Spent today finishing stripping the car, then measuring everything out. Surprisingly everything checks out for a 300k car! The front end is off center a few mils due to some front end hits when it ran, other than that i should be good to go and start doing some body work... somebody help me!
Im happy I didn't build my own, it would have been nowhere near as good as something like this, and its still a chore to move around and rotate it, even with the crank. If your serious about using one, find one you can borrow or rent, or just buy one.
