got cosworth main and rod bearings bearing....
yeah they are the standard 99.5mm ones....getting a hone as soon as I can get the block to the machine shop...

For the gasket set...is the engine gasket set for a 2.5rs the same as a gasket set for a 2.5 sti? minus the headgasket ofcourse...
I dont want to buy 2 complete gasket sets and spend nearly $600 if Im not even going to use all the gaskets...

Got the hoist on it and tranny seperated...a little prematurely though...

Well...looks like I have a mess of wires to disconnect. Too bad I didnt originally install the tec 3 in the suby...so pretty much have no clue what half the connectors are connected to...

hopefully you aren't taking it to a certain east coast shop, that I've explained how well one of their employees screwed me over.

PM me if you want full details.

Nope...doing everything myself minus a hone....Im no machine shop...thats for sure

Got the wiring situation figured out...cut one of the harnesses at the base and labelled them...so I dont neeed to worry which clips go where...for now...going to do a full video teardown and post er up when im done.

So it's done...
Just had one snag. Had to cut the oil return line for the turbo. It was pretty corroded on and I don't care about replacing the braided line and keeping the AN fittings...

Whats with the coolant pipe that goes from the tstat to the oil filter.

I've never seen that before.
