Yesterday I was really hoping to at least try to turn over the motor but found more missing parts.

First, I am missing my secondary 02 sensor so I ordered one off Amazon today and it'll be here Wednesday. Also found that the aftermarket uppipe that came with the motor doesn't have a EGT sensor so I researched and found plugging it with a bolt works. Also missing the OEM pipe that connects to the factory BOV so I'll have to order that Monday morning.

Updated list... hopefully will try and start the car Wednesday or Thursday night. Do yourself a favor and never buy a motor from Pmpautogroup on NASIOC. I just hope this motor starts and runs okay at this point.

Things left to do:
-Install OEM BOV pipe
-Install secondary 02 sensor in downpipe
-Plug up-pipe with bolt
-Install TMIC
-Re-install dash bar
-Re-connect battery
-Top off coolant after starting motor

Installed the secondary 02 sensor in my downpipe last night, did the resistor mod and plugged the hole in the uppipe. Finally took the car off the jack stands, car needs corner balanced and aligned still. Going to try and start it tonight if I can solve my perrin inlet to stock BOV pipe issue.

-Throttle cable issue
The WRX throttle cable is acting odd. If I barely push down it doesn't seem to do anything and when I push down futher the engine revs up to 3k super quick... almost like there is lag in the cable. The cable seems really long and I'm worried it will touch the timing belt. Edit: Looks like I should have left my L throttle cable on. Whoops.
I had this problem with my RS as well, though I never did find a solution for it. My throttle cable worked perfectly and my throttle body was just fine as well, but it would still just immediately jump from idle to like 1.5k RPM

Granted, not as extreme as your 3k RPM, but still, it seems like the same issue.

Engine bay update shot.

-Still waiting on the piece from Perrin so I haven't put the intercooler bracket on, that is why the intercooler looks angled in the picture.
-Found the fans are not turning on which may cause the engine to overheat. Tried connecting the two green diagnostic plugs to get the fans to turn on, nothing.
-Got the brakes bled on Sunday so they are good to go.
-P&L told me each exhaust is built to order so maybe I'll have it at the end of the week or next week sometime.

It has held up extremely well. People are always touching it when they peek inside the car to see what it feels like, haha.

Unfortunately the guy who made my cage had no choice but to saw the dash in half. I really hate how they cut it up, other people tell me it looks fine but I guess it is my OCD.

Thanks!

nice, KWs and a swap, back with a vengeance

did not realize you were in ohio, cheers neighbor
Where in Ohio are ya?

This looks like fun. What kind of racing do you plan on doing?
I want to do a few HPDEs first then get licensed to do NASA time trials. I occasionally do autocross for fun too.

Hahaha! I'll give you first dibs when I upgrade!

Update: Waiting for coolant hoses from Subaru, Gary @ ASI found a bunch leaking. He also found oil hoses that went bad, fixed the steering column issue, and fixed my electrical issues! (I missed connecting something to the fuse panel, doh!)

Here it is with the exhaust installed!

Update:

All coolant and heater hoses replaced. Zero coolant leaks now. Steering column piece is fixed. Alignment done but couldn't get the negative camber I want because I'm running group N top mounts that came with the coilovers. I'll have to upgrade to Vorshlag plates to really get the camber I need. Probably getting those later this year.

Car has idling issues and they think it has to do with the butterfly with the TGVs being stuck or the idle air control valve. So now we are going to take the POS perrin inlet off, put the stock inlet back on, install motive autowerks TGV deletes since they are cheaper and better fix.. and a new gasket for the cleaned idle air control valve.
