I picked up this 1993 Subaru WRX from RHD Specialties last week and is my 12th Subaru, it has about 100k miles on it and it has catback exhaust, lowering springs with adjustable struts, black racing wheels, and HKS turbo timer. Going to be used as a daily driven car and will be modified along the way.
Getting use to RHD and KM was strange but doesnt take too long to get it down.
Car was originally silver but clear coat was peeling so the importer had it done in WRB pearl. The paint was cheap and had a ton of orange peel so I am getting it redone by a local guy who goes high quality work.
Some cell phone pics of the progress, 1 coat of paint on the body and 2 coats on the other stuff. Car will have 2 stage on everything and clear coat tomorrow.
Side skirts, rear spats, and door handles will still be black for now, have to them done next weekend, painter ran out of some material and have to order more.
Well this happened over the weekend, hood scoop broke and flew off on the interstate. Let me know if anyone knows where I can find an early model GC8 hood scoop. I will have to get it painted to match either way so doesnt matter what color it is. Cheaper the better
hahah, idk what happened, it was fully bolted on and all of a sudden it flew off without warning. Tried to go back and see if I could find it but no luck.
I will eventually, the older ECU's are more forgiving than the newer ones so it isnt enough change where the ECU cannot make adjustments. As well the intake does not change the MAF housing so does not require a tune.
I thought you made a new hood scoop with rear fins ? color looks good. Let's see that shine
