No, but thank you! I actually picked up a sweet aluminum radiator from Flat4awd recently, I just need to get around to installing it.

Very kind of you to offer, I hope what goes around comes around.

I replaced my wooden blockoff plate with one I made from some 1/8th inch steel plate. It's not pretty but it works. I've more or less given up on taking pics till I get a decent camera, after twelve shots this was the best one:

Suffice it to say getting down to that side of the manifold was an endeavor. Snapped a bolt off earlier so now I still have a slight leak but the 'boost scream' from my video is gone.

Then my car wouldn't start. Seems to be a problem with the connection between my trunk mounted battery and the starter, as both checked out fine. Starter works great with a jump pack on it and the battery has good voltage and all my electronics work.

And I'm dumping oil from somewhere near the turbo, smoke rises from that side of my engine bay when I stop at a light.

And my idle is still really bad, leaning more and more towards the timing being off but I really really don't want to get back into the timing gear.

AND it seems I'm pressurizing my breather system. Since my crankcase vent is tied with my valve cover vents into a catch can I'm not sure if it's just the crankcase or what, gotta look into it but either way I'm pretty sure that means bad headgasket.

Thinking about that ez30...

I doubt excessive crankcase pressure is being caused by a head gasket failure. I mean its possible but unlikely. Not overheating right? The block vent for crankcase is pretty close to the turbo area, any chance its leaking oil there?

I really hope not, that would be amazing! But then it's gotta come from somewhere... I mean I know there's the PCV valve for a reason, but it seems waaaay too positive.

It doesn't overheat, or hasn't yet. I removed a faulty thermostat when I did the swap and neglected to install a new one, usually my car is halfway to temp if I'm driving. Idling will get up to temp but the fans kick on and temp stays where it should.

I do believe because of the excessive pressure that oil is being expelled from the crankcase vent. It's definitely leaking though, though it could be my hacked oil return port...

Do you have all of the pcv lines (valve covers and block) going to the catch can? Is the catch can vented? You could run a line from the turbo inlet to the top of the catch can. That would help pull some vapor in if itís pressurizing in the can

Yea valve covers and pcv are routed to a catch can which is atmo vented. I've been meaning to hook it up to vacuum but I'm also pretty lazy.

Less like "What goes around, comes around" and more like "My loss is your gain" haha But good go on that aluminum radiator. You should post pics of it on my radiator thread once you get it installed.

Well you shouldn't be giving it away if it's gonna cause you a loss!

I'll throw some pics up as soon as I get a new camera. And for the install I'll need a different top hose, the inlet is in towards the center.

Haha touche. Really the radiator was fine, but I replaced it with an all aluminum radiator for a cleaner look for a couple different reasons. So my high expectation is my loss. I'm stuck with an extra radiator that I don't need that I would be happy to give away to someone who would need it more than I do.
