Ok, I am learning the old stuff quickly. So a 5sp with the sensor on that plate means DCCD, vs say my V2 that has no sensor or DCCD?

that plate leads to the center diff that distributes the power to the front and back..

I'm super interested in the economics of this operation. Seems it would be far more expensive to piece things together than just buy the trans you want. Killer deals or any other particular reason you are converting a trans and upgrading the front diff instead of just buying a trans with the features you want?

im picking up the 4.444 fozzy tranny for $100 and the rest of the bits are I'm getting for a deal compared to what they normally are.... as far as i know the 5 speed never cam with helical front diff and i got a cusco 2 way diff for about half of the cost of new
