So one night while driving home some idiot in front of me kept hitting the brakes randomly. NO one was in front of him and I was keeping a pretty good distance. We get to a red light and following green we both go, as we take a sharp 90˚ turn onto another road they slam on their brakes coming to a near stop, again no one in front of them. I swerved to avoid them into a curb taking out my front passenger tire
So I spoke to a customer of mine, which happens to be a Firestone, about getting a set of Continental extremecontact DW tires for the summer wheels. He helped me out big time by only charging me cost for the tires and nothing else, no fees, no mount & balance charge, no tire disposal fee, nothing! Very grateful for his assistance, it pays off to take care of your customers!!
So with putting the 17s back on it jump started my urge to start getting parts installed that I've been holding onto all winter!
V-limited replica lip was the first to go on! It's an ebay rep which means it took some work to get it to fit appropriately but I took my time and got it taken care of!
Following the front lip install, I decided to even it out by installing my rear lips! THey're not the biggest addition but I love how they balance out the front lip.
I'm still waiting on my side skirt strakes to arrive. Following their arrival they, and the spoiler will go off for paint and installation. Then I think it'll be time to install my H&R sport lowering springs I've had since September!
Welp on my way home tonight the clutch pedal started to feel really weird and then all of a sudden while pressing the clutch in and out a few times to see what it was the car cut off on me. So I pulled over and called GOTJ for help. He suggested I check the master cyl res and it was pretty low, so I limped her to the local parts store and topped her off. Still no change. Limped her home and started digging, unfortunately in my 10 years of Subaru ownership this is my first 5 speed so I don't know enough to accurately diagnose it. A buddy swung by and solved it in 2 minutes!
I'm in need of a clutch, throwout bearing, and a new pilot bearing So the plan is to buy an Exedy stage 1 Organic kit & an OEM flywheel. A local friend who takes side jobs out of his bay at Nissan said he will do it for me which is a huge help! Subaru people help each other out, and he's really helping me out! So for now the car is parked and I'll be using one of my parents cars in the meantime.
