So what you are saying is you initially wired incorrectly which caused the weird gauge behavior and that using a 0-100 Ohm impreza sender will allow proper gauge function?

Edit: Just saw your post on my thread. How do I erase this message? I can't seem to find the delete part of the edit/delete message.

Your Subaru is an inspiration to fix mine from the body up. I'm terrified to look and see what the rust has done to my poor Subie, but it's something I definitely need to do.

Thanks, shes not perfect but i still grin when i see it parked and waiting on me.
Since getting the wiring back from Iwire it has been running great. Still no AC but its beautiful out. Wrx transmission and clutch are holding out really well.
Time to beautify the engine bay and on to the suspension.

I have a lean code popping up every now and then. Most likely due to the up pipe and SPT intake.
Tried a stage 2 map- according to logs i hit 29psi on the first drive...removed stage 2 and quickly installed a boost gauge
Back to logging and adjusting
Re-scaled my maf and got rid of the leaning. afr corrections are down to 6%
This tuning with the laptop is completely new to me. Sooooo much reading. so much more to do.

This was the first log. It got a lot cleaner still going to log and get the afr's lower

Got a 50mm bosch boost gauge, I like the bosch brand it was super cheap and its one of the smallest most oem looking i could find.
So now i need a dash pod...none of them seem to be 50mm all 52+

Completely obliterated my dash cubby lid...making this turd

looks like poop because its old Kitty hair that got water in it. have no idea how it actually kicked off and hardened. The activator cream was like silly putty with jello bits in it.

Lots of imperfection... no problem, just spackled away. dried ,sanded then vaselined

cut some cloth and made a little layup plan.

wet it all out

product

In all it turned out really well only 2 defects to fill. spackle was still soft so couldnt really sand it. Next time i gotta use something way quicker drying.

Car has been running great, sounded a little different so i thought i would check the fluids, found a very sad filter

Took that as a good opportunity to do some maintenance. So timing belt and pulleys.

It was a real bitch as all the bolts had siezed and the timing covers had to be broken off.
So while waiting for the cam shaft tool and cam seals as well as new timing covers i pulled the down pipe off and put a bung in it.

nice blobby mig job.lol

And there you have it. Stock WRX STI dowmpipe with aem O2 bung. I mounted mine a little close to the turbo because im a moron. i went 6" to the hotside fan

also threw on a perrin crank pulley

After many many sanding and filling we have primer!!!

Finished product on the gauge pod looks pretty good. Seem like they are kind of pointed to the sky though. Have a nighttime shot with them lit up?

im 5'11" so i like that its pointed at my face and barely have to glance that way to see it. I dont like how dim the bulbs are in the bosch gauges are they are just a little dimmer than the stock stuff in the car. I also dont like the square shaped pod. I thought it would look different and modern but it just looks kinda out of place. It also does not have any sort of visor over the gauges so im shaping up another one to fix these issues.
